Recent uncertainty of its future has seen this long established local lawn bowling & croquet club’s existing facilities suffer neglect & lack of maintenance. New future certainty & direction for the club sees it now looking forward. Peter Rechenberg Design was engaged along with leading sports & leisure planning consultants ‘Inside edge’ to review the clubs current & future needs & develop a focused direction & plan. Key to this future plan was the upgrade & redevelopment of the clubhouse. With identified issues of unclear entry, lack of identity & insufficient amenities for the clubs needs a new design was developed to address these issues & see that future needs are catered for. The design was also developed in a manner considering the ability that it could be implemented in a staged sequence, allowing it to happen in a manner manageable by the club.
