A new two storey home for a client who spends extended periods of time working abroad.

Seeking an easy & relaxed environment in which to spend his down-time away from a demanding working life, the StGeorges house offers upper level living spaces with views over the adjacent golf links & wetlands. A large outdoor living spaces offers abundant northern exposure.

Composition of the buildings form & spatial arrangement was intentionally kept simple & free of complication. The resultant home has an inherently relaxed feel to its interior spaces, much to the clients’ satisfaction. Other positive benefits to this simple, highly considered & resolved built form lay in the ability for this home to be built with a reasonably modest budget & with a build program several months shorter than that of most other homes of a similar scale.
